Welcome to the School Counseling
Vision
Eastwood Heights Elementary School Counseling program empowers all students to reach their maximum potential by ensuring their academic, social/emotional, and physical development. Our students are able to demonstrate resiliency when faced with conflict and strive for greatness because they know their true value and self worth. Like our school district, the counseling program prepares and inspires students to continue their education in a college, university or institution of higher learning so that they are successful citizens in their community.
Mission
Our mission as school counselors is to serve as advocates to empower all students to take ownership of their learning in order to achieve their personal goals. We strive to create a safe all-inclusive learning environment where high expectations, collaboration and accountability lead to student success. Our counseling mission reflects those beliefs: Eastwood Heights Elementary School adheres to the philosophy that the school counseling program is an essential and integral part of the overall education process. All students possess the right of equal access to all counseling programs to promote all skills necessary to be productive citizens in our community, to increase student performance in all assessed areas and to ensure that all students are provided the opportunity to graduate college and career ready.
